GREENWOOD STUDIOS
To make the most of the tiny budget, the Brooklyn architects cut giant windows into the outer walls. This one upgrade took the building from messy to monumental. Now, the once dark interiors have expansive views of Greenwood Cemetery and the harbor beyond. And broad squares of sunlight wash over floors of polished concrete and maple plywood sliced into planks. The once squalid cave now serves as airy design studios.
